Defib
One of three AED's (Automatic External Defibrillator), we have already revived two patients during cardiac arrest directly due to the use of our AED. One of the AED's was provided by New Jersey EMS funding. Digital Blood Pressure
The Squad uses all digital automatic blood pressure equipment to assess patients.

First Aid Trailer
Owned and operated by the Oakhurst First-Aid Squad, this trailer
acts as a command center during larger medical emergencies and provides emergency medical services during municipal events. It is fully stocked with emergency supplies and equipment.

Radio
Rig mounted radio is equipped to afford Squad direct
contact with hospitals and 911 dispatchers.

EMT instructor and Squad member, Leonard Shucavage, demonstrates
the use of a backboard used to immobilize patients with possible
spinal injuries. Anyone involved in a Motor Vehicle Accident is
put on a backboard and in a cervical collar to protect them while
being transported to the hospital.
